We're a small, family-owned business in Auckland, sharing the country that made us stay.
We didn't just move countries. We moved towards a dream.
Hi, we're Lauran and Nikki, and this is our family's story. JustGoodCampers is ours.
For years we shared the same dream: leave the Netherlands behind, live closer to nature, and spend our days outdoors. In February 2024 we finally came to New Zealand to see it for ourselves, the way most people do: in a campervan, with a rough plan and no idea what we were in for.
We fell for it completely. The empty roads, the black sand beaches, that first iced coffee with the doors open and the sea just steps away (Nikki's Italian roots mean the coffee is non-negotiable). Somewhere along the way, “one day” turned into “why not now.” So we packed up our life, our son Ollie included, and made Aotearoa home.
We're beach people at heart. Ask us for our favourite spot and we won't hesitate: Wharariki Beach, where you can sit in the sun and wind, watching baby seals play in the rock pools. For Lauran, the best part is the driving itself. There's nothing like winding a camper along some of the most beautiful roads on earth, with nowhere you have to be.
JustGoodCampers is how we share the country that captured us. We've done the trip ourselves, so we know what makes it unforgettable, and what gets in the way. When you pick up your camper in Auckland or Christchurch, it's already packed and ready: bedding, kitchen, chairs, the lot. No surprise fees, no fine print. Just grab the keys and go.
We're small on purpose, and we'd like to keep it that way. It means when you message us wondering where to freedom camp or which coast to chase, you're talking to us, not a call centre. We genuinely love helping people find the New Zealand we fell for.

Say hi to Jort & Margot, the hosts of the Tūī, the Just Good for Two camper they own and run.
Hi, we're Jort and Margot. We moved to New Zealand with our dog Siep, after falling completely in love with this country. What started as a dream became our biggest adventure: building a new life on the other side of the world.
We'd spent years exploring Europe by campervan, but New Zealand took that feeling of freedom to a whole new level. One place that stole our hearts is Wanaka, where the scenery, the outdoor adventures and those endless star-filled skies remind us what life is all about.
We want you to experience the same freedom, adventure and unforgettable moments that made us fall in love with Aotearoa. We can't wait to welcome you and help you discover New Zealand your way.
