1. About us

About JustGoodCampers.com & Just Campers Ltd

JustGoodCampers.com is an online webpage that brings together quality campervans offered by independent New Zealand rental providers. Each campervan listed on the webpage is owned and rented by the rental provider identified for that specific vehicle.

Just Campers Ltd is a legal rental provider of campervans listed on JustGoodCampers.com, formally acknowledged as local host on the webpage of JustGoodCampers.com.

The legal rental provider and contracting party for each booking is the rental provider identified for the campervan you book. The identified rental provider is responsible for the Rental Agreement, payment processing, insurance, vehicle operation, customer support, and all obligations relating to your rental.

These Booking Terms & Conditions, together with the associated Rental Agreement, apply only to campervans rented by Just Campers Ltd. The applicable rental provider is clearly identified on the camper listing, before payment is made, and in your booking confirmation.

2. Making a booking

2.1 A booking is a request to rent one of our campervans for the dates and vehicle you select. Your booking is confirmed only when we send you a written booking confirmation by email.

2.2 To book, you must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid full driver licence (held for at least one year) valid for the class of vehicle. Full driver and eligibility requirements are set out in the Rental Agreement.

2.3 You are responsible for making sure the details in your booking (dates, vehicle, driver details, contact information) are correct. Please tell us straight away if anything needs to change.

3. Prices and payment

3.1 Honest pricing. All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise. The price displayed at the time of booking is the price you pay for the selected rental period. Optional extras, Protection Options charges (if applicable), the applicable Security Bond and any additional charges are shown separately before payment is made.

3.2 Payments. All payments relating to your booking are processed directly by the rental provider identified for the campervan you have booked. The rental provider is responsible for processing payments, issuing refunds where applicable, and administering the security bond.

3.3 Booking Deposit. A Booking deposit equal to 20% of the total rental price is payable to confirm your booking.

3.4 Rental Balance. The rental balance, 80% of the total rental price, is due 21 days before your pick-up date. If you book within 21 days of pick-up, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

3.5 Late payment. If any amount payable under these Booking Terms is not received by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation provisions set out in Clause 5.

3.6 Security bond. A Security Bond may be payable at pick-up, depending on the Protection Option selected for your booking. The amount, method of payment, application and refund of the Security Bond are governed exclusively by the Rental Agreement.

3.7 Payment Disputes. If a payment is reversed, disputed or charged back through a card issuer or payment provider without a valid legal basis, while amounts remain payable under these Booking Terms or the Rental Agreement, we reserve the right to recover any outstanding amounts, together with any reasonable costs reasonably incurred in recovering those amounts.

3.8 Credit card fee. A Credit card administration fee of 2.5% is applicable by the use of Visa and Mastercard for any payment.

4. Changes to your booking

4.1 If you want to change your dates, vehicle or pick-up/drop-off details, contact us at Margot@justcampers.co.nz. Changes are subject to availability and to any difference in price.

4.2 We will always try to accommodate changes, but we can't guarantee a specific vehicle or date is available.

5. Cancellations and refunds

5.1 If you cancel your booking more than 21 days before your scheduled pick-up date, we will refund all payments received, including your Booking Deposit.

5.2 If you cancel your booking within 21 days of your scheduled pick-up date, all amounts paid or payable for the booking become non-refundable. Where applicable we will support with rescheduling your booking.

5.3 If you fail to collect the campervan on the agreed pick-up date without prior written notice, the booking will be treated as a cancellation on the day of departure, and no refund will be payable.

5.4 Any approved refund will be made to the original payment method within 14 business days.

6. If we have to change or cancel

6.1 Very occasionally we may need to change or cancel a booking — for example if a vehicle is damaged by a previous hirer or becomes unavailable through no fault of ours. If this occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and will, at our discretion:

- offer a comparable replacement vehicle (where available);

- offer alternative rental dates; or

- provide a full refund of all amounts paid.

Subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, this represents our full liability for any booking change or cancellation arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6.2 We are not liable for any delay, cancellation or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

- natural disasters;

- severe weather;

- earthquakes;

- flooding;

- pandemics;

- government action or restrictions;

- industrial action;

- ferry cancellations;

- road closures;

- utility failures; or

- any other event that could not reasonably have been foreseen or prevented.

Where reasonably practicable, we will work with you to provide:

- an alternative vehicle;

- revised travel dates; or

- another reasonable alternative solution.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

7. Pick-up and the Rental Agreement

7.1 Pick-up. At pick-up, the person named on the booking and any additional Authorised Driver must:

- present their physical driver licence for verification;

- satisfy the eligibility requirements set out in the Rental Agreement; and

- sign the Rental Agreement before the Vehicle is released.

The Rental Agreement governs the use of the Vehicle, Protection Options, Customer Damage Liability, the Security Bond and all operational aspects of the rental.

7.2 You have read the Rental Agreement and physically sign before we hand over the vehicle for your rental period. If there is any inconsistency between these Booking Terms and the Rental Agreement regarding the operation of the Vehicle, Protection Options, Customer Damage Liability, the Security Bond or any operational matter relating to the rental, the Rental Agreement prevails.

7.3 We may refuse to release a vehicle if a driver does not meet the eligibility requirements, cannot present a valid licence, or has not paid the amounts due.

8. Insurance and your responsibility

8.1 Our Vehicles are insured under a commercial motor vehicle insurance policy held by Just Campers Ltd, subject to the insurer's terms, conditions and exclusions. The insurance is held solely for the benefit of Just Campers Ltd. Your rights, obligations, Protection Option, Customer Damage Liability and responsibilities are governed exclusively by the Rental Agreement. The Rental Agreement also explains which losses remain your responsibility even where insurance exists.

8.2 Neither Basic Protection nor Peace of Mind provides cover for your personal belongings or personal travel insurance. We recommend you arrange your own travel and personal property insurance before commencing your trip.

9. Our responsibility to you

9.1 We will provide a clean, roadworthy campervan with a current Certificate of Fitness and registration, ready for your trip.

9.2 We are consumers' partner in this: certain guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair-Trading Act 1986 apply to our services and cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Booking Terms limits those rights.

9.3 Subject to those Acts, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for events outside our reasonable control (such as weather, road closures or natural events).
